Limited in internet access and aid in understanding credit requirements for graduation, Wheels public school in Washington Heights, NYC, reached out in search for a solution.
WHEELS ON TRACK allows an interactive, analogue visualisation to aid students, teachers and parents to keep a record of pupils' pending credits required for graduation.
The clear squares are placed such that the remaining spaces above equal the total required credits to graduate for that column's subject. The blue pieces represent those that the student has already completed. Being placed both in the student success office and in classrooms, they may be used both in meetings with the students, and independently by the students in moments of doubt.
